The Painter Chicks have successfully run a faux finishing business for ten years. Collectively they have more than 25 years of artistic painting experience. They are dynamic, tenacious women who are passionate about what they do and how they do it. They strive to create custom finishes that enhance their clients own personal decorative style. They have gained such a loyal following, they have never needed to advertise.

With a background in interior design and art from the University of North Texas , Shanna Buckland began faux finishing and painting murals in her own home. After many friends and neighbors began asking if she could be hired to paint their homes, Shanna decided to turn her talents into a career and launched The Painter Chicks. She specializes in color selection and has extensive experience in all facets of the faux finishing industry. She strives to understand each customer’s personal style and unique painting needs. Shanna is Faux Effects certified and has been trained in both small and large scale production. Her creativity and “big picture thinking” uniquely leads this group.

Kelly Duhon brings seven years of expertise to The Painter Chicks. Her background in interior design and real estate have kept her abreast of the latest trends in the faux finishing industry. She ran a successful faux finishing business in New Orleans for four years and joined The Painter Chicks after moving to the DFW area. Kelly is a well rounded artist that specializes in custom furniture, cabinet refinishing. custom embossed stenciling, custom glazes, and old world finishes. She is a perfectionist who is always careful to leave a job clean and flawless.
